Our Mission
INVESTING IN FUTURE STEM LEADERS.
Forged at MIT's 2.007 (Formerly 2.70), Woodie Flowers' reimagining of Design and Manufacturing I, FIRST is a global robotics community that prepares students for careers in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math.
Over 35 years later, MIT has established its FIRST Alumni Organization with the help and support of MIT Admissions and the MIT Edgerton Center. Together our mission is threefold:
- To celebrate the involvement of the MIT Community's past and present involvement in FIRST Programs
- Build meaningful connections between the MIT-FIRST community by connecting through shared interests.
- Use public service and advocacy to advance both the missions of FIRST and MIT.
